New SUV by Tata Motors release date and price range (Spy shots and more details)

Tata-JLR has been testing its new SUV for over four months now and just last week we caught a partially disguised vehicle ,  codenamed the Q5. According to Tata the vehicle is going to share its platform with the Land Rover Discovery. This test mule spotted on the roads of Maharashtra just has the body works of a Discovery , for most part it is locally made in India. the vehicle sits on the same wheels as that of the new Hexa base trim and also gets a tailpipe which just out similar to the base Hexa.

This SUV is supposed to enter the Indian market sometime in late 2018. The SUV will have several inputs from the Land Rover Discovery and is expected to sit above the Safari and the Hexa , making it the costliest and one of the best SUV from Tata Motors in the last few years. Considering the growing luxury SUV market in India the vehicle might well be placed in competition to the BMW X1 , Volvo XC60 and several other SUV's not only in size but price as well. This vehicle might as well take Tata to operate outside the Indian subcontinent, given its "Discovery like" under and over pinnings.
