5 Revolting Mid size cars
Beginning from the E-class and the 5 series to the A6 and the ES the Luxury Mid size cars have become the best selling cars of top auto makers. But now they've become old, dull and out of class. The Mid size car market grew from the 1990s due the demand for cheaper entry level luxury cars. The BMW spawned its 5 series while Merc deployed its E-class and Lexus, its ES.
Now, though we've got hundreds of auto makers, there are still very few Luxury mid size cars, but why has this happened. This is due to the growing demand for small size entry level Luxury sedans and SUV's. Smaller sedans have chunkier engines and appealing designs. But now that trend is also fast changing , cars inspired by sports coupes have now become the new trend of car making. These cars could soon take over the market and diminish the Luxury Small sedan market.
These new offsprings are cars built and designed with the their smaller counterparts in mind with the added practicality of a hatchback and rear folding seats.
Here are a few cars that can change the market in the upcoming years.
The Audi A5 Sportback
Sleek and Dynamic, the words that come to one's mind with a glimpse of the A5 sport back. The A5 sport back could be a fox under the sheep's skin as it competes with the other Small and Midsize cars given its strange position between the two classes. The car is slightly longer and wider than the outdated A4 while it is still smaller than the A6. The car is equipped with a 3.0 and a 2.0 litre engines producing a decent amount of power. The car offers more space in the trunk and the rear seat except for the headroom in the rear which is a matter of concern for in all sport back sedans. The pricing also comes at a decent level starting at $ 44,000 and extending into the A7 price range for the RS5 sport back.
The BMW 4 series
Is that a 3 series or a 5 series will be the first thoughts when seeing the 4 series. Although it looks like a regular BMW car it has minute differences compared to any other BMW. The car has a sport back like boot lid, a curved bonnet and a vehicle dimension that measures slightly longer than the 3 series. The car comes with two different engines a 2 litre 240 hp and a 3 litre 320 hp. The car starts just above the $45,000.
The Kia Stinger
Though the name KIA is not one of those top names in the automotive market, the recent show of the company's flagship sedan, Stinger, shows the capabilities and vision of the manufacturer to be one among the top. The car is equipped with a 3.3 litre V6 that generates 303 hp. The car's styling is much like any other sports coupe with a sport back design and air vents. The car's prices are yet to be announced but the car possess an major competition to its German competitors.
The Tesla Model S
The Tesla Model S although an all electric car, is a playhouse for power and its capabilities are beyond what we think. The status Tesla has in the market has overtaken that of Merc and BMW.
There is no doubt that this car has overtaken several Mid sized cars. The Model S produces 530 hp and can seat upto 7 people. The autopilot is also a revolution . The car starts just under $70,000.
AND FINALLY
The Toyota Camry XSE
Is this SHOCKING??
Although a Camry, Toyota plans to compete with other automakers to change the face of the Camry from a Humble family car, into a V6 monster, much like the Mark X a sports coupe available for the Japanese market. Completely revamped, the 2018 Camry's launch is expected this summer and the XSE variant is by far the most powerful Camry ever produced producing 290 hp. The XSE variant starts at $32,000 and extends upto 38K with full options.
