Mahindra: The first Indian manufacturer in the US

Well! After a very long time the Indian automotive inddustry has some interesting news. Mahindra & Mahindra recently announced that it will be setting a production facility in the US, with this Mahindra becomes the first Indian manufacturer in the US.

Mahindra recently pulled out of the European market due to dwindling sales of its only car the E2O. Earlier this year Mahindra also showcased its all new Aero and confirmed it will be producing it by 2018. 

If you are wondering that US market is a new one for Mahindra, you would be surprised to know that Mahindra is a famous tractor brand in the US and is the third largest tractor brand in the US. Mahindra is als9 expected to invest $1.2bn in the US market in 2018. 

Well if you are excited of Mahindra's entry into US, much to the dismay of Indian Americans, the Transportation department of US has restricted 90% of Mahindra vehicles as Offroad only cars. Given this decision from the US government, we can surely expect the Thar and the XUV500 in the US. We can also expect Mahindra to make headway into the market with its all new Aero and redesigned Thar. Mahindra also plans to launch a new electric supercar designed by Pininfarina in the summer of 2018.
